Charcot-Leyden
Crystals Charcot-Leyden crystals are a breakdown product of eosinophils. They are found in feces but may also occur in sputum and tissues. Please note they are non-specific findings and are not synonymous with parasitic infections.

Charcot-Leyden Crystals are present in people with tissue-invading parasitic infections or in individuals with various kinds of allergic conditions. Crystals stain red in trichrome-stained fecal smear. |
