Fungi are ubiquitous in nature and can be found in soil, on trees and other vegetation.

They may occur in chains or individually.

The size ranges from 5-8 mm (long) by 3-5 mm (wide). These may be confused with the ova of Trichuris, but size and lack of internal material should suggest fungi.
